Ghent through handmade glass
Emma caught up with a Belgian sailing friend
From Ghent we motored up the canal to Terneuzen, the home of the Flying Dutchman. During our yearly haulout we planned to work on the rigging and fix some scrapes from our seven months in the canals. We thought a week, maybe two, but it was a month before we passed through the Terneuzen lock into the Westerschelde.

Terneuzen Port Authority I wonder where they got the design?
Twenty-three years ago we met Willem and Bea Kesteloo on Polka in New Guinea. We caught up to them again in Japan, and sailed through the Aleutians together. During our haulout we took time out to enjoy their hospitality.
