After the tsunami we booked a trip back to Canada to renew our roots. Nine months and seven thousand miles later we flew from Paris to Toronto to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends. Expecting cool temperatures, we melted in 26 degrees C. The leaves blazed as we visited our way across southern Ontario.Turkey time was great for catching up with our family that had lost several older members but gained a new generation in the last 2.5 years. Ebb and flow, grey hair and medical adventures, life goes on. Trip highlights included a day at the Calgary zoo and Halloween on Quadra, our home island. We've returned refreshed with spare parts for the diesel heater, and are busy relearning live-aboard techniques for a winter in Paris. Only 155 locks to go...
